Nice project Al. I did something similar on my DIY panniers to take fuel cans but not having any sheet ally I used 6" nails! (bent and welded on to form a platform)

ps Anything's got to be better than watching Eastenders!

Nice one Al.Please don't think I am being picky but I would be tempted to round those top corners off a bit.

This entire thread, all five posts of it, is 1000 times better than eastenders :woohoo:

PS. Al, I would be tempted to cut two small slots in the verticals for the horizontal strap to pass through. Just a thought B)

Watch Eastenders or look at your sticker collection on the panniers, no brainer.

nice farkling and I agree to the suggestions of rounding the top corners and cutting slots for the strap.

What do you have in the black reserve can? use mine just for oil now
