Hi folks, I purchased these Pannier racks/rails for my funduro, Do any of you's know what make these are? Standard BMW? and what luggage goes with them, Any help would be gratefully appreciated
Hi Mate,
Your 97 Funduro's racks are probably from those nice chaps at Motorworks part No ACA17017 @ £127.74 inc VAT
I can't tell if they are OE but this should give you a head start.
The end of the road is the start of the fun
A bad day on the bike is still better than a good day at the office
Yup look like OEM - don't bother with the STD luggage it's teeny - particularly the City Cases - use them for mounting something like the Ortlieb/Wolfman soft luggage to keep it way from the 'zorst.

Same as mine BMW. Are you thinking of getting the panniers. 2nd hand hard to find apparently - motorworks only sell the right one used - the left you would have to buy new. You might find a used set somewhere though I did - on this forum
Cheers jim, I am not sure which route I will be going down soft/hard luggage, Would you be able to convert other panniers to fit by changing the catches? havent seen them on bike yet, as it is stripped down :woohoo: hopefully get bike built back up next week, Getting painted tomorrow if the guy turns up, When I was looking at them today I just couldnt work out where they bolted onto, I think I was looking to hard  went had a coffee and came back out, and it was so obvious,
As Scouse said , OEM and the City Panniers housed all we needed for a run through the Alps last year, two up. Yes they're small, compact but very tidy and hold a surprising amount, especially when using vacuum bags.
The Funduro won't be happy with large panniers, especially the BMW Touring type, besides, the left side will interfere with the zorst, though they will fit on with minimal adaption.
I still have the City top box , though surplus now , but would use this when I had the bike and when the panniers were removed, due to it's proportionate size to the bike. The City units won't carry the kitchen sink but will do a good turn, and ample for a solo rider.
Cheers SGP I am still not sure which way I will go, I will wait until I have bike back together before deciding, I have my topbox and I have my dry bags so will be sticking with them for now, Just good getting info and not really wanting to spend loads on it at the same time
