So, I got thinned out of work early so thought I'd make the most of it (and the weather) and pop down to Canterbury for my first Grail of the year.
I can confirm that Canterbury is bit of a nightmare for getting a clear shot but I used all of my magical powers ( Well, a Military ID card and a sympathetic Ex 2 Para security) to blag/gain entry into the catherdral grounds for my pictures.
Enjoyed the ride, and the hot chocolate in costa too!

Chichester is the one cathedral I've been looking forward to tagging as I'd spent a year down there "studying... ... at the university so have close ties to the area and many friends still studying there.
So after a quick blast from Fleet down, around and over the downs I arrive at East Wittering (just south of chi) where I was meeting some friends to have a wetsuit and my old surf board thrust into my hands and told to get a move on as the swell would be dissapearing in a half hour or so.
F**K me - I'd forgotten how cold winter surfing was even with a hood, gloves and boots. Needless to say I was pathetic as I've not surfed in 3 years but I provided many amusement for those on the beach.
After a quick cafe stop, off to the SU for the Rugby...bah humbug..! A quick BBQ later and back to the SU for far too many pints of snakebite and god knows what shots!
After getting in at god knows what time and crashing out - I was feeling rather fresh to had good fun going back over the downs (really is a lovely area). Quick pit stop in a rather ram packed loomies and hope for tea and cake.
Overall a cracking weekend biking and drinking wise that truely made up for all those shitty rides during the worst of the winter!

So, with Louise (gf) riding pillion we made a quick blast down the M4 swindon bound for the George whites clear out - waste of time to be honest, everything I was after was still cheaper on the net so walked away empty handed. Which was just as well really, as I"ve heard stories of people queuing for 90minutes plus!!
On leaving Swindon we headed to Sailsbury via Marlborough and past Stone henge. Quick stop for photos and a costa before heading home via Romsey, Winchester, Loomies, Odiham and home. Lovely day out, 185 miles in total all in glorious sunshine - loads of bikes out too.
