This thread , poll is for any member that attended the 2011 Ullapool Simmer Rally.


If you have any constructive comments to make regarding the weekend , please post a reply here .

And No we can't arrange the weather > ! :blink:

1. Venue .. did you feel welcome
2. Members.. Did you feel left out , and did not know what was going on !
3. Shopping .. Did you find everything ok , or needed directions etc
4. Rideouts.. Did you enjoy the ride outs ?
5. Rideout leaders. Did you get a briefing, did you chose the right rideout.
6. Pubs. Did you find the pub .
7. Getting there .. Did you find your way to the campsite ok.

Is there any part of the weekend that could have been improved for you.

The Ullapool Simmer 2012 is in the planning stage and with feedback we can make sure that the weekend goes off without a hitch .

Well what can i say lol yes i would do it again but i will buy a better tent , but i did enjoy the ride out even ive it was a tad windy

No - just cos I stayed in a B&B and not a tent, nobody wanted to go for a ride with me on Saturday

Friday was OK - a bit of improptu off-roading in the rain, an all that :whistle: :pinch: :woohoo: :silly:
Saturday - me, me mates & I did :whistle: - see answer No 1

What, there are pubs in Ullapool as well as shops!

7. Getting there .. Did you find your way to the campsite ok.

No - got lost in the Metropolis that is Ullapool-on-Sea - tis all those one way systems

Now, best get plotting a scenic route round the highlands that I've not done yet . . . . . this could take a while me thinks.

I am sure that we can encourage you to get with the program next year .. No breaking any more XTZ660's .. Well you did warn them about you not braking for corners. :whistle:

Whilst i enjoyed it and can say i made it there i won't be going again,too far for me and riding all that way on my own and back is not my idea of fun,going to rallies next year but much much nearer.

Fair comment Gaz ..

There are rallies that I would not go to because of the distance as well, time off work etc.



But glad you enjoyed it , pity the weather was not so good ..
