So what's the furthest south has anyone ridden ?

After reading the What's the furthest North anyone has ridden ? I thought it would be good to ask the same question in reverse What's the furthest south has anyone ridden ?

I rode the Great Ocean Road in Victoria Australia last year on a Harley, then went over to Phillip Island.

That's the furthest South I've been on a bike so far, I'm sure that's there's a few more that's gone really South !

well i used to ride my honda cb250rs to uni... in christchurch nz.... and plenty of quads and ag bikes on my grandparents farm, also down near christchurch... :whistle:

In 1997 I did my first really big trip from Lincoln down to Faro in Portugal... and I don't mean getting a ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao. I travelled down to Dover, across to Calais on the ferry, then down through France, into Spain and on to Portugal. I was on my own and riding a Honda GL500 Silverwing (basically a CX500 with touring kit). Total journey distance was 3,500 miles over 2 weeks. That was my first real “adventure” and, even though I’ve since been all over Europe, it had the spirit that I have been trying to capture ever since.

i think flying somewhere and riding a bike or hiring a bike while on holiday is cheating, it should be 'whats the furthest north/south youve taken your own bike, from home'
