Very nice. 10 months ago I could easily have been tempted rather than going the Norden route.
If the purchase had ended up as a disaster, I was going to look at an older ADV.
But…the photo posting is getting silly. Surely this is a forum software problem, not the poster’s fault.

That would be a wise buy for someone...value of the 9X0 bikes can only go up. My opinion is they are something of a high point for KTM: simple and unfussy once sorted. Plus, great fun to ride.

Admittedly I have not been in any rush to sell it, but makes sense to rationalise the garage situation and go to one bike.
If the 990 sells then I may also be looking to sell my very tidy old 2004 450exc rfs. With lots of spares.

Re: 2012 ktm 990 adventure For sale / swop 690 701
I have to say that my GasGas ES700 (red 690) can do most of what my 950 can do on the road, and is far superior off the road, or in traffic etc.
But to serve as my 'business jet' travelling from Cornwall to the midlands and Heathrow it would need better weather-protection AND the ability to mount Givi panniers and topcase, and a decent-size tank bag.
The weather protection can be had (at a price), but the pannier mounts and a decent tank bag are more problematic. Which is a shame as 60 mpg beats 45 mpg...and being Euro 5 the ULEZ won't be a problem whereas it will be to get the 950 into Heathrow.
KTM should think about why they offer the same bike under 3 different name-plates. I'd choose one brand to have as a 690/700/701 Adventure to compete against the like of the Aprilia 660, and keep the others as they are.
