Re: South America second trip
It some kind of bad cold or flue.
Combined with dehydration.
It will get better.
Thanks for all support.
Update:
I was to a pharmacy today. 31/12.
The lady gave the diagnosis bacterial infection.
The threatment is antibiotics.
So I bought the dose that she recommended.
Nice, polite and profesional.
Good to know and get medicin.
I have booked two more nights here. For recovery. And that it is heavy rain.
And I have time. No urgency to get somewhere.
The next leg has a lot of road works. That are not easy when it rains.
But maybe even worse after.
Noone will work there over new year.
New adventure is waiting

New year
This post is not much of a travel story. But it is my reallity. And a real adventure.
A short summary. I will try to keep it to facts and avoid self pity or complaining.
I got the worst diare that I have ever had.
On top of the bacterial infecton in the throught and maybe lungs. that I already had.
All I had to do was just to wait it out and....
I loaded up with liquid and medicin.¨
But strange things happened. The temp went from 37 to 39+ without any logical explanation, Within 2 hours.
This has happened twice.
I had to cool down the blood with wet clothing¨
¨ My buffe for 4 days :
Yesteraday I had my first meal in 4 days. Soap.
Everything seams so random. With no clear pattern and direction.
I need to stay here until I feel sure that it is stable.
Not only a temporary improvement, that will hit back again next day.
For the moment the stomage seams to get more stable. That is kind of the base, to be able to load the body again,

Re: South America second trip
Fingers crossed for your recovery Erik, there is a lot of pneumonia and stuff going around the World at the minute.
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.

Things are adding up
First the bacterial infection in the througth.
Than the diarea that exploded the stomage.
When the diarea had stopped, the damage had left an inflamated intestine. (if that is correct english)
That hurts and is very sensitive.
I got the diagnose from a clinic that did an ultra sound examination.
Execellent service. I am so happy that I found such a good clininc.
With helpful and supporting people.
=> Now I have a new coctail of medicines for that inflamation.
I will just follow the instructions and pray for the best.
It is a combination of mental and physical struggle.
The mental part is harder part today. To do nothing.
But if I could come to a point where I can eat and drink without problems, I would be in much better mode.
This is more a market/shopping area, and not easy to find food.
I started this mornining with my first breakfast for many days, incl orange juice and a sandwiche
When I do not need to be close to clinic and pharmacy anymore, I would like to go to this place.
For recovery

It is 4 hours ride from where I am now.
You that have read my stories knows that I prefere nature before cities
But for now. I have to stay close to medical clinic and pharmacy.
Waiting to see what the last coctail will do (I got it yesterday lunch time, 3 days threatment, So I will see...)
Investigation
Instructions What a fantastic day : (Coffee is not inlcuded in the instructions. But a menthal boost)

On the road again
Thanks a lot.
FInally on the road again. Or off road or off grid
I did my first day on the bike yesterday.
I wanted to be relative safe, before leaving clinics and pharmacies.
Now I feel OK. But physical and mental
I have problem to remember that brake. It is a bit foggy.
I have a route going to Ecuador (more about that later)
4 legs to to get close to the border. I have been loooking for nice places. No rush. I enjoy as much as I can.
I had a wonderful day yesterday. Slow riding enjoying life. (4 hours helmet tine for 200 km) Nice road and not at all so many road works as another rider stated.
But we measure in different scales or they where done ?
I took time for coffee breaks, photo stops and chat with an old lady in the café.
I got advice about passing a Laguna. Taken.
The day ended at a tourist park of grid
https://www.google.com/search?client=op ... xpWVZjb3Nx
Laying in the hammock, listening to the sounds from the jungle.
There was a trail to walk up the mountain. To get a great view. But my knees can't handle that.
So I took the hamock instead
