Good Bye to my RE Himalayan
Now all riding, including 2 city tours are done.
This is the final distance: Part of changing ownership is to have copies (imprints) of engine and chassie number.
Not photos. No. As a preparation for future sale, I had to do this.
A certified place makes imprints. They put some inc on the numbers and press a paper to it. Parked after my last day using it.
I will miss her. We have done so much together. And she has doing it so well.
I wish I could have her in my garage. Even if I could not use it. As a memory.
Even better if I could use it. But everthing has it´s time. And now it is over.
And it has to go. I hope it get sold. If not, maybe I get crazy and do Venezuela and part of Brazil in the future.
I have sold many bikes that I would have loved to keep.
But Money, time and place in the garage are limited.
At least she is not alone. she has a DR 650 s a friend in the garage.

Miami some thougth on the way home
This is not part of the SA leg of the trip.
A bit of topic. But the american culture is part of the trip to and from SA.
I am sitting in Miami. At the airport.
If we limit it to the three airports. Cali, Bogota and Miami.
Including transferes. This is my personal view.
What a difference. In Colombia, I met only friendly, helpful and polite people.
Here in Miami, it is the opposite. Arrogant and unfriedly people. Doing all they can to show their power.
Transfer, imigration, check in, security..
Almost chocking.
But they have all the power.
So it is just to say, yes sir and smile.
Even if they are rude.
They have a problem. I do not.
I do not care.
If it just some feelings, of topic. I can delete it.

Re: South America second trip
People learn what they live Erik and maybe their society demands them be strong, powerful etc. Your gracious approach is commendable and thankfully you can get on the plane and leave it behind .
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.

Photo collection
Hi,
here is a photo presentation of my ride in South America this winter.
Many photos have been published already.
But here is a selection => collection
Pictures are processed to lower resolution and normal quality instead of high
=> This reduces the memory used to around 10% of the originals
