Towards Tena area
Looking at the map, I wanted to turn inte the jungle before Tena and Rio Napo.
I found 2 interesting places to stay.
I sected this Grand Selva Lodge
https://maps.app.goo.gl/w5Cm8Vnj5trfZATe7
The road was very nice. With only minor damages. I stayed at a cafe. The owner recognized me. I had stayed at the same place one month earlier. Going south.
Questions about how my trip had been.
That gives an idea how few tourists that come this way. That he recognized me, one month later.

Tena Area
On the way I saw this sculpture:
Buss stop jungle style. Towards the lodge
I saw that a river was very close. So I made a small detour. Just to get this picture
I arrived without problems to a very nice lodge.

Arrival at the Grand Selva Lodge
Some pictures from the arrival.
It was nice to use the evening and night, just listening at the sounds from the jungle.
There are some bird watcher here. That spend the day in the window. With camera and huge lence.
Taking fantastic pictures
Forecast is heavy rain until lunch tomorrow.
So maybe indoor day.
( Yes it is heavy rain. So I sit with a view over the jungle area and edit this)

Re: South America second trip
Today I made a trip to a rescue center fro animals
https://www.amazoonicorescue.org
Thye take care of animals that has been used as pets, hurted, smuggled or...
And try to get them back to vild life.
When that is not possible, they give them a good and natural environment to live in.
The purpose is not to create an exibition for tourists.
But they want tourist. To help spreading the knowledge and to contribute to the costs.
I had 5 km gravel road an 2 km river to get there.
Warm. Walking in the forest was waiting....
I am normally carefull with riding gear.
But today I made a compromise. Helmet, gloves and jacket: OK
Rubber boats and jeans => to walk without chaining.
And what happens. I meet a car , A stone is trowned up from one wheel. And it hits my left kne. The only time that I ride without proper riding pants....
So now I have a red and swollen knee,
The tour on the river was in a motor canoe.
I had company with two ladies on the way to work....
To the same place that I was going.
This picture is of some other canoes waiting. Local traffic in this area In the canoe, with two laides. And here thay are at work. Doing hand craft

The rescue center
The animals had plenty of natural space to hide in.
And there were steel fences.
It was not easy to get some pictures.
But here are a few

Entering Colombia
A group waiting at hte bordercrossing Ecuador-Colombia.
It takes more time to get into Ecuador then into Colombia. I decided to not go direct towards Cali. That is the end destination. But make a loop up to south of Medellin.
On the way up, this was a common sign: Secure parking comes in many forms.
Here we have one in the reception.
With extra protection from a higher power. This leg north ended in Honda !! Yes there is a town in Colombia with that name.
It has nothing to do with the motorcycle

Here started my mini tour in Colombia.
After 3 days of transport.
I used a backrod.
Dry but rocks, stones and bumpy. This is a veiw from Norcasia: An MC tour compay use a boat down this river. To a jungle Lodge.
But that is not my budget.
I found this very nice cabin. 10 km from Norcasia:
