i have whats called i think sports panniers on the bike but was thinking of trying to get some other BMW type , mine are locked on by a peg type thing the other type i was thinking of getting are the more BMW looking type , as anybody had these do they clear the exhaust ok effect handling in any way or any problems with them anyway thank you any advice welcome

Yes, they'll work fine. I had the large black panniers on my F800GT. The fixing is quite neat and unobtrusive. Same pannier I think as the XR bikes and a couple of others, check on realoem for the part numbers to cross reference.
