At the Tamar Trial last weekend I heard that Phil Gunn had passed away...he founded the Rally of Discovery which started in Ireland and extended to England, Wales and Europe.
Apparently over 300 bikes followed his coffin.
RIP Phil Gunn

Re: RIP Phil Gunn
I didn't know him well but he was always a real 'character' in the Rally pits.
Many years ago I spoke with him at the start of a special stage at the Cambrian Rally (I think) and I nearly passed out on the Whisky fumes from the previous night along with his jokes. A couple of minutes later he passed me on his HP2 like I was standing still even though my 644 was flat chat, a truly awesome sight.
RIP Phil.
