What's your advice regarding tank bags on long trips

Long trips comes in many forms. Outside of Eutope, it is comvinirnt to have documnet stored there,. So you can handle checkpoints,.I also keep a powerband thatbI am loading during the day. And some important stuff. If I want to stop somewhere, I can just remove the tank bag and bring with you.
Easy acces tomimportant documents and safe stuff when I leave the bike. Not because it adds a lot of storage.
