After lunch it we did the Slea Head drive. A road that , in places clings to the side of the cliff, with a roadside wall separating the road from a long drop to the Atlantic Ocean below

So, after some great roads it was time to progress North. We made a beeline for the ferry across the Shannon Estuary at Tarbet. Whilst waiting for the ferry we found a B&B for the night a few miles west along the coast from Galway City.
We arrived at the B&B just before dark, and after booking in the owner gave us a lift into the local village for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. The owner of the B&B collected us later and brought us back - a great service, that was offered and not asked for.

Re: Ireland - Gaps, Leap and Passes
So shortly leaving Leeaun I spotted a possible fishing spot so thought I would give it a go. On my third cast I caught and landed a 5lb Salmon! - just when I thought this trip could not get any better.
My Salmon handling skills need to be improved though! Safely returned to continue on its epic journey
