It's still snowy here in Canada, so we're trying to find new challenges/fun to be had in the snow...

Yeah, love it. Great stuff. What's the situation with those studded tyres if/when you come across some non-snow surfaces? Do they rip apart or lose studs? Do you have to trailer / van your bike to where the snow starts?
I've seen them for sale on 24MX, but we don't get enough snow for long enough to justify it here.
The last time I rode in snow was up in the Spanish mountains and I got exactly 3 yards ! Would have loved those studs up there.
