I was back to the Lake District for the ABR Route last Thursday and Friday:

By splitting the route into two days, withn an overnight at the YHA in Ambleside (lakefront on Windermere), the two days total riding was 733 miles starting from North London. Weather was perfect and we had a great time.

Re: Back to the Lake District Last Week
We were there (and the Yorks Dales) trail riding on big adventure bikes last weekend.
Never seen it as beautiful, or as busy with tourists.
On the other hand, we saw precisely one other trail bike over 3 days and 480 miles.
