My 13 year old daughter had her first pillion ride yesterday. Managed to find her some kit that fitted. She did'nt want to get off the bike and gave the experience 10 out of 10 , all the other things we have done canoeing, sailing, windsurfing etc have only ever gotten a 9 out of 10. She now wants to join Dad on his sunday rides, and understands why I ride bikes. So now I'm looking forward to some family company on the bike, bitter sweet as my oldest who has just turned 16 has started college, got a boyfriend and her first job this summer so I'm not seeing a lot of her. cheers Spud ;)

Great news Spud, now you can enjoy time with your daughter and the bike.. Its certainly made life easier for me now Tom goes on the back. We have had some lovely little adventures exploring around some of the coast roads and villages.. ;)

My Daughter first went pillion aged 8 and is now 19, she has done dozens of 400 mile day trips and a week touring Normandy and Brittany. (luggage was a nightmare though :woohoo:)

It is amazing the road skills they learn just by being on the back which has helped now she is driving herself.

Modern youngsters have worse dangers than bikes offered to them at a very early age so quality time with dad on the bike works for me. :)
