I am sure those that run this forum puts lots of time and effort into keeping it running for many of to use for free. 5secs waiting for it to load is irrelevant in your life, chill out or if you don't like it don't use it as they say

Has anyone else had trouble accessing the forum through Tapatalk.
Wanted to post a pic found Tapatalk works best for me, but couldn't get to forum as network errors.

A bit hit'n'miss in Tapatalk for me....and I'm finding the browser check thing very irritating using the PC.
No other sites/fora seem to use it - can ABR offer any explanation?

Hi All

I've not read every post on this thread but hopefully this will explain. The browser checker is a security measure turned on at Cloudfair when a server or site is under a ddos attack. The ddos attacks which have been aimed at the ABR (and AT) server have arisen in the Ukraine and China, they are designed to slow down and crash our server. The browser checker stops that happening.

ddos attacks are not viruses so don't worry on that score. From what I've been told they are originated by a corporate or personal entity with a grudge or by someone who's nothing better to do.

When the attacks stop we'll switch off the browser protection, they usually go away after 10 days or so.
