I think thats a bit harsh (I doubt you mean it, but one never knows)

An Idea that is often mentioned yet for some reason just doesnt seem to get any momentum in this country is that of emulating America (not something I would normaly advocate) and it's system of making the baddies do hard labour.
It seems like a no brainer to me, sentences become instantly tougher regardless of length and you can even afford to actually increase the time to serve for various crimes bcause now you are getting some profit or at least financial offset from the scrotes' hard work

But whatever, the real problem in the UK is poor policing (partly due lack of funding, partly cultural IMHO) and a ridiculous justice system.

I seem to pay more Tax lately for shit loads less in return
