folks
seems I'm struggling to tick all the boxes:
need 23 days riding cover (some don't give more than 14 days riding even if its says trip length 31)
Europe use
trail riding cover / but if too expensive i might ditch this
prefer to stay away from the underwriter TIF as responses on other platforms indicate some horror stories about them
cheers

Check with LV=
My holiday insurance covered me on an Enfield in India automatically so Europe should be a soft touch for them.
Assuming it is the same as our byways, Explain the trail riding is on legal unsurfaced roads, not just ragging round the open countryside...unless it is, in which case I doubt they would cover it but would be happy to be proved wrong.

I have insurance with Santander’s 123 account , although I haven’t tested them it apparently covers me for off road riding , when I phoned & checked the girls response ( after checking with her boss ) was you’ll be riding slower off road so less likely to get hurt !!!

Don't forget that you're not technically off road, you're riding on legal unmetaled roads.

+1 for Holiday Safe.
We are currently using one of their longstay type policies, we took out the maximum 24 months cover. That’s for a continuous trip.
Covered for riding bikes as long as we wear a helmet, even if local laws don’t require it.
Dirt roads are just that, dirt roads. So no difference.
Their policy was cheaper online but once you’ve got the quote and reference number if you call to speak to someone if a pout needs clarification they’ll honour the online quotation and complete the sale on the phone. If you prefer that.
Let us know what you end up buying please.

+1 for holiday safe
Never tested the company but the roads I sometimes use in france and spain are dirt. The way they look after roads in UK I recon they are in better condition most of the year

Another holiday safe customer here. My wife just increased her European cover to worldwide and did not get ripped off for a policy change which is refreshing.
