I think with these bikes when they say 'designed in Italy' they actually mean 'styled in Italy'

They are, as they say, cheap for a reason.

Is that Andalusian route off-road or on-road? I only ask because I've ridden an on-road section of it and it was excellent...(the bit from Ronda, to Antequera, to Granada)...and I would recommend adding a bit to it (if you've got the time) and ride down from Ronda to Puerto Banus on the A397 (about 30 miles) and back up again. It's the road that they test a lot of the new cars and bikes on, for the magazines.

I did some of the Andalusia trip (road only) many years ago when I flew to Malaga and rented a ybr125 for a week then returned the following year.
The YBR125 felt slightly underpowered compared to other 125s though returned a great mpg and carried me in comfort. Granada, Grazaleema, arcos de frontera, Gibraltar….. would definitely go back

On road. Even some roads might no be paved.
Thanks for the proposals.

I have added some parts here and there. And made it to a two week tour, rather than 6-8 days.
Both those parts are included in the plans

The trip from Ronda on A 397 is already included in the plans
=
Dag 9
Granada (Camping Reina Isabel) – Ronda (Camping el Sur)
Via
Pantao de los Bermejales A-338
Alhama de Granada A-338
Camping rural Presa La Vinuela A-402, A-356
Antequera
Ronda
Camping el Sur (via motorväg på slutet !)

https://maps.app.goo.gl/r9HgwzHyqgfQVjyQ9

Cirka 250 km, 5 h

Dag 10
Ronda (Camping El Sur)
Utforska Ronda och
Utflykt längs A 397 t/r till kusten (Nueva Alcántara). Cirka 100 km, 2 h

But this is not a forum to write about none existing health care systems and criminal insurance companies.
That stops me from traveling.
I will be back if there will any more riding.
I hope that you understand and wish me some progress
Thanks
Erik

(I have at travel story to write about a trip from Portugal to Sweden. Via Italy. Over 3 weeks and 7 000 km)
I have the pictures and the notes. Maybe something to do to get time to pass in the future. It will up under the topic Travels stories)
(My advantage for Andalusia is that I have an easy day of riding to Sevilla. )

So I stop here and wish you all happy travelling on small bikes.

It seems so almost straight across.
Price pressure has caused all brands, even the big ones, to try to save costs.

They use cheap components and materials. Produce in low cost countries. BMW and KTM also have known quality problems. No one can afford to build an MC like they were built before.
Built of metal and not full of plastic.
4 cylinder engine
Stainless fenders
Chrome exhaust pipes and silencers.

So-called UJM (Universal Japanese Machine)

Also small rides are something to appreciate.
And be grateful for.

I jutt got a replacement for my destroyed Honda NX4.
Another Honda NX 4, From 2002.
Not in very good condition, but than I don't have to worry....

For me that is a small bike, since it is 150 kg.
But Chris will not agree, since it is 400 cc :D

So tomorrow I will prepare coffee. In a Thermos. A sandwich and take some gravel roads/trails up to a water pond.
Crossing a creek on the way.
And enjoy a nice lunch break.

It’s interesting the weight of bikes, the varadero 125 is 149kg. Considered pretty heavy for a 125.
I’d use the cc size as a small bike, probably under 250cc, it creates a nice definition for the small bike class

I think a CCM bobber at 600cc is only dry weight of 140kg 😮 that’s lighter than my loaded pcx125 😂

That is a good definition.
Coming back from South America- that was full of "small" bikes
Colombia has a tax rule. That makes everything over 200 cc expensive.
So the majority of bikes are 150-200 cc. =small
A Honda XRE 300 or RE Himalayan are considered "huge" bikes.
