Hi All,

I part exchanged my 800 GS for a 1200 GSA and now I need a new tank bag.

Does anyone know a decent, cheap alternative to the Beemer tank bag? All I really need is a clear map flap and I don’t want to pay £250 for it.

Keep an eye on ebay and get an original BMW one, They are worth the money.

I have a genuine BMW tank bag for sale, it fits the GSA, as long as it's the non-LC model. It has the map pocket on the top and is in excellent condition, it just has one small nick on the front left side, which doesn't affect the usability at all. It also has a small detachable bag at the rear to put your wallet/phone etc in. I believe they are around £200 new, If you are interested I'll sell it for £85 including P+P.

They really are better than most of the non BMW ones. That price is a bargain as well.

Just make sure you get the attaching fitting for the back of the tank with it.

I tried to marry up my old 800 tank bag but it’s no good.

It’ll have to be a cheap old Oxford or the real B!W deal.

I've been happy with my Givi Tank-loc bag, quick to attach and doesn't touch the tank so no risk of scratches.
