Insured up to the point of impact!!Despite Fisheries Officer Chris taking out three insurance policies, one from his bank, Halifax, one from World Nomads which covered him medically and another covering his motorbike from Allianz.
The family, which has started a Just Giving page to raise money for his treatment;

Poor sod. If you can afford to chip in a tenner, send him a donation - might make all the difference.
As to insurance companies, well they are the spawn of the devil and all the chief executives have a particularly hot place in hell reserved for them individually, with nameplates, and especially sharpened pokers...

Do check the small print on your policy. I am not claiming it is the case in this scenario, but many travel insurance policies only cover riding bikes up to 125cc

I went on a tour to Hungary before I went checked my insurance that said if your not wearing full certified safety equipment neither me or my wife would have been covered for medical care, it just so happened that the heat was unbearable and at slow speeds it’s was hard work and we had to keep telling ourselves not to go out in just jeans and jacket like you could in the U.K.
Have to check your fine print.
I hope he gets well soon
