Off road 8/4 POSTPONED

Post by zimtim »

Going to head out on the big KTM and do some off road, most probably on Salisbury plain
It will still be very wet and muddy so this really is a ride for the more experienced riders with off road tyres.
If anyone is interested let me know.

Quite a few TRO in place in and around the plain whilst it mainly affects 4x4 users, I don't think I can put a ride that will be enjoyable for the big bike or guarantee bikes or riders safety.
I will try and organise something else once the plain had dried out and TRO lifted

Joined this before but don’t think I can be there this time, it depends on when I get back. I’ll keep an eye on these messages and will add my name if I get back in time

Went to do a slight recce today for the ride on Sunday The tracks on the Plain have some humongous puddles in which were to be avoided no idea how deep, and the trails and byways around the plain were very slippery.
So if anyone wants to join I will be at countess services 10.30 for an 11am off. Not sure what route yet will have to see what we can come up with .

I went down this track bike was sideways most time best, the farmer had been through with hedge cutter, lots of debris just asking for puncture.
