Hi fellow Adventure Bike Riders

I am new to this forum.
This site came up on my PC screen in my search for dedicated magazines as I have been buyin (and keeping ) thousands of different motorcycle magazines since the mid 70's.

I also rode a lot of different motorcycles through the years, starting up with the BMW R69S.
Mainly my motorcycles have been Italian.
Something about them I really like and I may have been lucky but I did not have any reliability issues with them.

I live in Denmark with my wife and we enjoy travelling a lot.

We used to have a sailing boat for almost a decade but decided to sell and go motorcycling again.
Still love sailing though.
The bike for the purpose of dragging us around with a truckload of luggage and luxury ended up being the BMW F800GSpot.
Kaiser is it's name.

Purchasing the bike in late May, modifying it over the next 1½ months for comfort, durability and practicality and then off through Europe on a 3 weeks vacation.

Back home now and as earlier years of motorcycling, I would really like to have 5 or 10 motorcycles in the garage that we don't even have.

We love the F800GSpot.
It's so versatile, have great roadholding, lots of power and torque, not very heavy, Great sound (with Laser Duo Tech exhaust).

Looking forward to being inspired and learning more through debates in this forum.

BTW; I am to be found on several Adventure bike, BMW bike, Danish bike, Travelling bike foras around the I-net.

Hi Niklas and welcome to the forum. What mods did you fit specifically for comfort?

And by the way, I'm planning a feature for a future issue of ABR magazine where we ride to the highest spot in Denmark

I use the Wunderlich Ergo-Vario screen with Touratech top spoiler.
I have the BMW comfort seat.
I have TT handle bar risers.
I have the big BMW handlebar protectors.
I plan to get the Wunderlich Pivot Pegs which swiwel around following foot movement. Great for standing riding.
I also plan on changing my front brake and clutch grips.

I assure you that you will not need the oxygen equipment for your future feature on Danish Mountain peaks.

Those Danish mountain peaks are really scary. I think with lots of practise in the Alps I will conquer them one day. B)

Welcome on board... glad to know there is someone else on here who knows there is more than one Euro farkle supplier

Will be good to hear any positive and negative feedback you have on the F800GS as my other half is seriously considering selling her Speed Triple and F650GS to get one.

Does your wife ride pillion or does she have her own bike?

So far she's riding pillion but it seems like she's getting keen on getting license and own bike.

I have had a 10 year pause in riding bikes.
Exactly just before I met my wife I sold the last Bike I had.

So she never had a chance before now to evaluate on this question.
Time will tell.
She's a bit hooked on the F650GSpot.

Wonder why?
