I read from your post that you felt the jail sentence was too harsh. I was making the point that riding/driving dangerously as this biker was can have terrible consequences (for others as well as himself). My friend's heartbreaking experience was a real life example of that. If s rider/driver doesn't understand that they shouldn't be on the road. This bloke clearly doesn't.
