Clock's ticking and not much moving on this post?

Spoke to SteveT on Saturday about this, he mentioned Thunder in the Glen's on in Aviemore this weekend coming if everyone's interested in having a look around some heavy iron? There are also plenty of roads in the area for a nice rideout.
I'm still planning on heading on to Oban with Fiona, either Sunday or Monday, home Tuesday.
Any other suggestions?

I start my Hebrides trip on Sunday. Camping at the Red Squirrel in Glen Coe on Sunday night. Possibly going over to Mull and camping around Arisaig on Monday night before catching ferries on Tues. Will be on a red VFR with my son as pillion. Feel free to say hello if in the neighbourhood, otherwise have a good 'un. :)

Thunder in the Glens = fousands and fousands of Hardly David Sons, pimped & blinged to the nines, sitting around looking shinny, around Aviemore!

Always a good selection of OTT blingyness & custom paint jobs. Plus the trade stands have some good gear (not all of them sell HD gear).

There are several enjoyable rides to be had in the area - one especially taking one back to the A93 via Tomintoul & the Lecht.

Planning on going on Sunday, as the crowd thins and the trade stands start to shut up shop ( = be open to a bit of bartering  )

No timings decided, just a rough plan of ride there, oggle metal, chew fat, drink coffee, eat bacon roll, ride away via twisties.

I think I might have a ride up there on Saturday to watch the parade from Aviemore to Grantown, great to see the bikes in action, thousands of HD's, the noise!
We're going to load up the bikes ready to go Sunday/Monday So could be up for a meeting on Sunday in Aviemore.

I'll have to cover a vast 50 miles to get to Aviemore from Elgin  ;)
Thinking of leaveing home at just after 9am, short bimble to Aviemore by, say, 1030am, by which time some of the Hardly riders should have shacken off their tassles and emerged into the sunlight (we can only hope for sun - they are riding chrome based machines after all  ).
Could RV at the Mountain Cafe which is opposite the entrance to the train station car park?
Or I could just park up, wander and try and spot the non Hardly machine parked up elsewhere?

Let the weekend commence :)

Your sounding like a Hardly rider there Craig  ;)

Agree with you though, if it's persisting down all day as per the forecast, I'll read a book and sip a cuppa.
