Very old-fashioned, I know, but maybe an Ad in MCN?
I look at used motorcycles on ebay from time to time...and it seems to be the home of dodgyness...crap people selling crap bikes for crap money to crap people.

Zimtim, i really don't get it: I had almost 70 watchers and nobody made an offer. I'm almost giving it away, maybe I'm missing something... Any ideas?zimtim wrote:Still can't believe this hasn't sold.

If you look how many sell on ebay its very few, maybe no one wants them  ...
Regardless of price a sale will be hard this time of year let alone sept offload time...
Blanket advertising is the only real way .....
And when the price gets real low a dealer will step in..whats it worth as a trade in?

Have you tried webuyanybike etc to give you a rough idea of what they may offer?
I have a mate with an 1190r, 13 plate and 7k miles. Struggling to get £7k for it. That said, I have another mate who bought a new one recently for under £11k.
Unusual times. GLWS

The trade in price is quite close to what I advertise it now, so the price is relatively good for year and mileage
Re: KTM 990 adventure- quick sale needed
I sold my 2011 990 recently, had 50 watchers and finally got a bite. I priced it very aggressively compared to competition at £6350 and got close to that for it. I think the issue is that there are too many that are over priced and don't sell for ages and ages until they reduce the price. There's a lot that are rough as well. So the KTM second hand market is a bit of a mess and I think puts people off. And new bikes with personal finance deals are cheap. So there are And there are not many buyers at all........
Look at some of the prices, some people trying to get £7,900 for a 990! And the 1190's at £10,500 because they paid £14,000 for it and ignore that KTM emptied stocks at £11,000 approx........
I've just bought a 1190 R brand new with a load of options thrown in. Dealer had offered £5,500 for 990 and said they do get buyers for them if they advertised it for £6,750. Guess the dealer warranty, finance etc helps. I probably would of been ok with that as sales are slow.
I'd advertise everywhere you can, price low, good photos, sell the adventure dream! If you can, pix and move on. Good luck with sale, looks a great bike.
