Hi all, I have had the following message from the landlady at the pub.

Can anyone get hold of Mick?

"Can you help me? The bloke who borrowed a barrel left a small deposit of £80 on the understanding he replaced it Monday and got money back. Iv got stock take at 8am tomorrow so iv had to pay in the 80 deposit plus £168 of my own money to keep my stocks right... I can’t loose my job over this but I can’t afford that kind of loss.... please can you help me get my money"

Ok, bit confused as i messaged Landlady and she said only empty barrel dropped off.

She says she was expecting a full barrel back and she will return £80 deposit or she needs another £168 as she is not a free house, she is just the manager. In the message I sent she said she has had to stick £168 of her own Money in.

Doesn't sound sorted

Hi all, does anyone have an update on "barrelgate" as Sophie the landlady is chasing me. She says Mick has not held up his end of the deal to replace the barrel or pay for the beer.

She says she has rang a number he gave her but no response and she is now £168 out of pocket as brewery did a stock take and all she had was an empty barrel with no takings for it, so she put her own cash in.

It's not really anything to do with me but she has my details on Facebook

Landlady contacted me again to say no One other than you has been in contact and the number given is not being answered.

I don't know what to say to her.

Nick the Barman did the bar and wasnt really anything to do with me but i have tried every day last week to resolve this and
the last I knew he was going to take a barrel back to the pub

I spoke to the landlady and and sent her a copy of what I was told and this still hasnt happened I dont know what more I can do as im 200 miles away from both the barman used and the site

I will try to get hold of shipley John to help from his end
