Hello Everyone! From Elly

Post by Elly »

Hello Everyone,

Well I have at last joined the site having been on it reading things for a while and already on my second year of subscription to the ABR magazine.

I did go to the ABR rally near Oxford last year. I went on my SV650S so I was being a bit careful riding across the 'field of thistles'! Loved it though and had a great time. I had a go or two on Mart's tenere (which was a bit TOO HIGH for me) and found out I could fly when I cross rutted it a couple of times and dropped it in a bog on Salter Fell. Anyway, the knee has almost recovered so thats fine.

By October '16 I bought myself an early birthday present of a Yamaha Tenere 660. I have only been out on the Suzuki once since - that was last weekend to get some Pilot 4s on it. Really felt the difference in riding position (as you would :-) )

I ride all year round and am just planning a solo trip for a couple of days up to Scotland just before Easter. I will be meeting up with Tenere Mart, Red Eric and some others on Good Friday for a weekend of riding up there. The ferry is already booked for the ABR rally in Draperstown NI for May. Really looking forward to that one.

Best Wishes, Happy Tuesday, Ride Safe etc. from Elly

Hi Steve and Mrs Steve :-) I am just debating whether to go up past Aviemore or go around the east coast. I'm going to Kinloss Abbey because my Uncle is buried there and I want to pay my respects. I'm meeting Tenere Mart et al down at Corran Ferry so that will take care of Loch Ness and the west.
