Just kinda wondering how this compares to everyone else out there.
I did a mixture of short track but mainly b road twisties riding.
Pretty sure thats with 13.5 litres of fuel.

Re: 159 miles before hitting reserve
On my Bandit 650 (carby version) I get up to about 180-185 miles and then 20 or so on reserve (although never tested the limit). But on a recent 140 mile motorway trip to sunny Lincolnshire it hit 203 when the last bar started flashing so I guess it depends how many "run-what-ya-brung" practice starts I do on my travels.
My RXS100 gets about 88ish but it has a smaller tank with the two-stroke oil lasting 450 or so miles (never really tested that oil one though, just an educated guess).

I get slightly better than that on a Tenere, slightly worse on a K1100 and a lot worse on a ZX10R.robertjlawler wrote:Just kinda wondering how this compares to everyone else out there.

180-230 miles on £30 of petrol on my carbed Vara, depending on how I ride.
Usually get the higher figure as I just don't feel the need to ride fast on the Vara.

useless unless you tell us what bike? cant compare fuel economy of a rocketIII with a speedfight, for example.robertjlawler wrote:Just kinda wondering how this compares to everyone else out there.

Re: 159 miles before hitting reserve
normally when it hits 320 I think about stopping for fuel.
Depending on how I have been riding there can be anything from 2 to 5 litres left in the tank

Between 180 and 200 miles 'till the fuel light comes on then at least another 30 to 50 miles in "reserve" on the Tiger XC with a 19 litre tank. It all depends on how you ride, what you ride, etc. Anything from 45 mpg though to over 60 mpg is possible.
Was down at Orwell's in Ipswich today: they have an Enfield Diesel in there for £3,250... 200 mpg! :woohoo:

then you only need 1 gallon of fuel a year, cos it'll take an enfield robin a year to do 200miles   :laugh:OB1 wrote:

262miles on 16.7 litres – don't ask me how. Usually I get between 220-240 before the fuel trip starts on the Ten, this time was exceptional. Riding was no different though, still A-road blasts at national speed limits
In June this year I undertook the whole Nature Rally in one trip, in aid of Riders for Health
