It's covered by warranty so as long as it's not left you stranded away from home and it didn't spit you off by locking up there's nothing to really worry about.

Robson will now use this as evidence that the S10 is unreliable but I'm sure all you owners will get to sleep eventually

Tony, I have my own theory of what has possibly happened (which i'll keep to myself for the time being - I hope i'm wrong). Theses Bikes are notoriously Reliable (one of the reasons I bought one ), I've searched the internet in the hope of finding others that have suffered the same fate - Nothing anywhere.
As soon as I have any info from the Dealership I'll post an update.

As I remember it the MCN bike put a hole in the oil filter which is not in any way protected by the plastic sump guard fitted to the standard bike.
So there was no real damage done, but they couldn't ride it until a new oil filter was fitted.

If I put up a pic of my 1190R with its crash damged broken frame he would no doubt do the same

Didn't take long for BMW to get dragged into this!

I'm sure DB1200 would prefer this to stay on topic and not get dragged into yet another my bike is better than your bike or the good old topic of how bad BMW's are!

Just my thoughts
