Waterproof cover for 2014 GS

Post by Ourdavid »

This topic is probably flogged to death but here's my problem. I have a GS LC with touring screen and Baumot luggage, the bike will have to live outside for a few months during alterations. All the covers and bike barns simply don't come anywhere near as it will have to go on the centre stand.
Any ideas most welcome.

The problem is usually down to having a top box of some description, plus the width of the panniers....

I travel (GSA) with full panniers, top box, and dry bags on the back seat - this Oxford Aquatex cover works a treat - and is designed for big adventure bikes with top boxes, and panniers... (thumbs)

mines spent a few months outside - and is A1

I think this one is out of stock in the XL version that you require - but google about - I got mine on Amazon for about £45 - this is the mkodel you're after (thumbs)

+1 with the old tarp thing.
And take the boxes off, easier to cover and less obvious what's under there.

+1 for the Oxford Aquatex, I used it on my Versys 1000 with panniers and top box and it fitted no problems. Just be careful when you tighten the strap at the bottom as the exhaust burns through the strap in a micro second (as I found out the first time i used it). Apart from that it does the job well.
