I mean there is so many space wasted usually under the tank and seat...
I wanted my nc750x to sell few times but I couldn't because every time I thought
about frunk I'd be missing I was changing my mind. It's so freaking convenient not to have to take backpack or to attach panniers...
why no other company is copying frunk idea from honda?

Had to look up what a Frunk was, but I must admit it does look like a good idea. Does away with the need for a tank bag I guess, which can be a bit of a pain sometimes. I wonder what the downside of a Frunk is?

BMW had it 15 years ago on the 650 Scarver

Aprillia Mana also had one before Honda.
Good idea really.

Late Aprilia Pegaso's have a tiny one which I thought was a joke to begin with but it became so useful and one of the reasons I kept the bike longer than I should have.
Downside, using a tank bag makes things awkward (the Pegaso fuel filler was in the "Frunk") and a tank bag has the advantage of a clear pocket for a map/waypoints etc.

Yup have to say it's one of the things I love about my NC although really thought it a bit of a gimmick when I test rode one. nearly four years later I really miss it on my other bikes, I've never been a topbox/pannier person and the frunk and 20L Kriega gives me enough storage for over a week. My 'valuables' go in the frunk which means I don't faff about with lugging luggage around if I stop for a break, still use a clear map pocket for longer trips and this detaches quickly if access needed.
Also makes the NC the bike of choice if zapping around on chores at the weekend, combined with the DCT it makes the NC a perfect town bike.

Have to admit the NC doesn't get me as 'excited' as a some others bikes I have owned (or currently own) or impresses many at bike meets for that matter but, for me' not all of the 'excitement' of owning and riding a bike comes from the bike itself. What you do with it, including how often you ride, makes a big difference and the added practicality of the frunk means I ride a bike, in this case the NC, just that little more often.Mike54 wrote:I'd far rather have an exciting motorcycle than a frunk.
