Don't be fooled .... stunning piece and message

Found a great video then post it up here. It doesn't have to be about bikes.

Don't be fooled .... stunning piece and message

Post by Mosel Bikes »

Thought some folk might like this. As an ever-more, solitude-seeking, dog-loving, aged-hippy-type, it speaks to me. I remember well my 'must have', the latest, fastest, more-of-them, only then can I be truly happy days. Believe me, there's a better way.
At my age and with my health, I do it in my own modest way (fell-walk rather than fell-run!), but the essence is there. Hip replacement on Monday, so who knows .... back to race-pace?
Hope you enjoy.

That's a great photo of one of your dogs, and the scenery looks familiar...
Where is this?

Best wishes for a speedy recovery from your hip replacement!

I enjoyed that Mike.

Thank you.
It's the trail up from the Chapel-le-Dale Inn (not that I've ever been in  ) over the limestone pavement, on to Ingleborough. Was in the Dales for a weekend earlier this month and took Jess - the most obedient of my six greyhounds - with me. Stayed at the Helwith Bridge Inn (highly recommended) bunk house 'Hotel Paradiso'! for £5 a night and had a fantastic weekend of fell-walks in more-or-less solitude.

Good luck from here too old bean. It is difficult round here to find anything like solitude for walking the dogs but I tend to aim for Sunday lunch time or dusk as my dogs are far more sociable than I.

Good luck with the hip replacement. When you get back to full fitness , try the cheviots for walks. You can spend all day there and never see a soul.
I have spent days and days wandering around them and the solitude is amazing.

As a Northumbrian till I moved to Sweden in 2006 (then Germany in 2009), I've done the Cheviot horseshoe many-a-time, summer (thigh-deep in peat) and winter (crampons and ice axe). Great memories of a special place - especially from the College Valley/Hen Hole side.

Nice one, Really enjoyed it!
I'd like to have another dog, but it would restrict me from doing other things, and I wouldn't leave a dog alone for hours on end. Perhaps I'll ask around to see if I can borrow one now and again.
