Wasn't there a mention of a condition of only 3 tries per attempt to qualify for the Guiness record.dazcapri wrote:Can't believe they didn't give him another go and I would've liked to see more of the bike build apart from that really good.

Re: Guy Martin - Wall of Death - LIVE
He should have been more prepared - he wasted a valuable run with that Indian and if he'd figured that out before the show he might have had a better shot. The live TV aspect made it seem really dragged out and a tightly edited pre-recorded show might have been better. Fair play to the lad, he has balls of titanium.Loggy wrote:Yeah In reckon he would have done 80mph had live TV not got in the way....

I had a mate in school who went on to be a WOD rider, Ned 'Kelly' Smart was his show name, just as nuts as Guy Martin, lost touch with him years ago ?? :pinch:

Loved every one of GM's C4 shows but I'm not spending the best part of two hours watching just because it's live. This would have made a great 1hr show in the series he's done.

Yeah I was a bit mad they wouldn't let him go again, he was on a roll....
But after hearing him say afterward he was fully "greyed out" I'm quite glad they didn't!

I enjoyed some of it but I agree that it would have been better if it was a shorter programme and pre-recorded. Too much filling, too little proper 'chat' from the guests, and I couldn't understand that kiwi maths expert's pronunciation. Why didn't the get a British expert?
Fair play to Guy Martin for doing it, though (thumbs) .

It was better than I thought it would be, it kept my attention for two hours.
