What are the implications of being between jobs when renewing your bike insurances .
When my wife did her car insurance they wanted a extra £40 so in the end they put her down as a house wife with no extra premium .

On one insurance website I selected "independent means" later on that got automatically translated to unemployed. I don't think I ever made it into the government unemployment figures though.
