I've got a hotel booked for Saturday night, train tickets booked to allow me to drink on Sunday and a pair of tickets for the 4th day of a cricket match that might well be finished by then.
I suppose there must be plenty of tourist attractions there and I'll get a refund on the match tickets if there's no play.

I suppose the ideal scenario is that the game goes into the 4th day and finishes before 25 overs have been bowled so I get a 50% refund on the ticket price and get to see England regain the Ashes (thumbs)
No matter what happens it's bound to be a good night out on Saturday and if we get to see some cricket on Sunday then great and if we don't then there's always another year.

It's a great night out in Nottingham, you'll have a Ball. Take some tape for your eyes to stop them falling out! ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)

I'm taking my wife so she'll be keeping me under control :whistle:BigBashBonanza wrote:It's a great night out in Nottingham, you'll have a Ball. Take some tape for your eyes to stop them falling out!
It'll be a shame if the match is over because she's never been to a test match of any description before let alone an Ashes one and she's been looking forward to it for months. I've been to loads over the years and even when it's rained nearly all day it's been a good day out.

I've just bought a house about 8 miles from the ground so quote a happy lad. Plus I got my ticket for free!
If it is all over by the 4th day, you'll still have a good day.
AsTuftywhite said, the caves and the castle are worth a mooch around

If your out for a drink sat night head up towards the old lace market ( better class of drunks ) abit posher. Or head down towards the castle "trip to jerusulum" or the salutation.
