Well me trip is over and where to start is hard but suppose from the beginning would be good :laugh:

Fri 19/6/15 leave home and head for the chunnel, get to Bolougne sur mer and get me head down for the next days long ride to just north of Limoges.

The Ibis in Bolounge sur mer was recommended to me from some on abr as it has a secure gated car park, the town itself is a cracking little place and well worth a wonder round so that's exactly what I did, got the bike in showered and went for a wander....

after a dodgy kebab the night before it was major ring sting so slightly later start than planned :sick: but hey ho.

Feck me its hot around the 32 degree mark but plenty of stops just taking it all in






So im heading to just north of Limoges to kip at harry's place route 66, now im gunna be honest harry is a real nice bloke but its not my sort of place to be honest bit run down and felt like it was more for family,friends and the locals rather than guests but that said had a decent night.

Early start as it's a long day to collioure (start of the rb5) still mega hot but loving it B)

winding down to the coast I can see the med and it looks damn inviting :laugh:



Im heading for a campsite called Camping Girelle which is situated practically on the beach

Get me pitch under the tree and time to get the tent up get a brew on and head down the beach







This little fecker wasn't to impressed is was only trying to get his mama nude sunbathing in the shot

Head back to the campsite and get the roadbook loaded for the morning



I've never used a roadbook before and I'm so darn excited about what is coming I couldn't sleep that night

Day 1 of the rb5

Its up early have some breakfast and head into town to the first waypoint





Such a lovely little place collioure

So following the roadbook it winds up out of the town into the hill's its around 8.30am and its already in the mid 20's

The scenery is stunning and its impossible to stop to take pics as you would never get anywhere.

End of day one and I'm just past ribes, nothing difficult about the first day mainly just fast open gravel sections
