I was just looking at that picture

and it surprises me, that the pilots of those big planes where so young

what a coincidence - visited all of those areas today after leaving the horizons unlimited event in eniskillen. I am currently in Carna.

what was the memorial stone next to the raf one in the forest viewpoint car park?

Bull,

You are right was thinking that myself, a massive responsibilty for a young man, flying a large four engine sea plane out over the Atlantic, and trying to get back to base in bad weather/and or dark. No wonder there was so many crashes.
