hi,

Myself and my father are considering traveling from Ireland to the ABR west Wales rally in September.I'm basically after some kind advice and help from you guys if possible.

As we would be travelling via Irish ferries, I have found the closest port to be Pembroke.Would I be correct in saying that the campsite location is under 20 miles from Pembroke dock?

Hi joeymc

Yes that's right that's the closest port and if you are coming over one of us could meet you at the port or the tesco s in Haverfordwest I meet a young lady that came over from Irland at the tesco s and lead her back to the campsite

Hope this helps but I will get big Al to reply to this

Thanks boy's
Glad to see the shenanigans has started (thumbs)
Hi Joeymc,
If your coming from northern Ireland and can catch the ferry from Rosslare to Fishgaurd
Then West Hook farm is approximately 26 miles from the port.
It's a nice easy run from Fishgaurd with some spectacular views on route.
Please register on the Events page if you are coming over and keep a look out for some regular updates and posts About the weekend. This year there will be an award for the furthest person to travel to 2015 West Wales ABR RALLY WEEKEND (thumbs)
Looking forward to meeting you Joeymc.
Cheers
Al (thumbs)

Hi Al,
Unfortunately Al, I don't think I will be getting lost anymore as I have purchased a Sat nav.. Only thing is I don't know how to use it :S
So I may be getting lost for the foreseeable future (thumbs) .
Well at least until I get the hang of it.

WARNING! THE LAST FUEL AVAILABLE WILL BE IN HAVERFORDWEST.

Garages are few and far between in Pembrokeshire and some are closed on Sundays, so ensure you've got a full tank if the opportunity arises.

Tesco is en-route pretty much for everybody but you have a couple of other choices depending on route in.

From Fishguard on the A40 there is a garage on the right just past the the airfield or by turning right at the roundabout just after the hospital (a bit easier to exit from). On the A40 from Carmarthen there is a garage in Llanddewi Velfrey and off the A40 to the right a bit further on in Robeston Wathen.

Any nav. concerns or advice please ask as I live locally.

Rich.
