1982 Honda XL500R

I bought this bike as an almost complete restoration 3 years ago. It had had a ground up restoration with many new OEM parts, bearings, seals, bushes were all replaced.

It's just had a rebore with a Wiseco kit and still being run in (only 150 miles on it) Runs strong and well. Prior to this, I've had the valves reground and new R/D valve guides.

The bike has spent most of it's life in Italy I believe but was registered in the UK in 1998 and declared manufactured 1982. The original speedo on the bike read ~43,000 km (27,000) but had an erratic needle so I purchased another speedo which had 6,200 miles on it and since the original restoration, the bike has done 15,000 miles and MOT certificates match this.

I've also had a custom pannier rack made for the bike. I've been using some aluminium panniers with these but should fit many different pannier brands, also good for soft luggage.

MOT due to run out mid May but can get it retested if needed.
