Re: North London/Herts/Beds Regional Group?
6 members and counting! I've posted a link on the UKGSER site. Once we get 10 members we can plan our first event and meeting.
Thoughts are - regular meeting once a month or more frequently - easier to plan stuff when we have a regular date. Morning ride and then pub lunch at the many country pubs in the area. Each member could take charge of a event. I can see two types of "sections"
(Section 1) I've got a big heavy GS that is great on A roads / B roads and paved back roads. It doesn't like to get dropped and I don't like picking it up (heavy bugger and expensive to fix). I enjoy doing off the "beat and track" paved routes with some "progressive A/B roads". It is also fun to follow others as well.
(Section 2) I'd like to get into Green Laning this winter after I learn some skills at the Off Road Course that I have booked in September with BMW and then get a smaller little guy like a 250 or 400 to slap about. If someone else wants to give that a go... as I am a numpty in this area. But will gladly follow!
Dan, Suds and Kev what bikes do you own? Perhaps you can post on your other bike forums and once we get 10 people we can give it a go. I've got two more that will sign up but also on GSs and will be supportive of section A.
Thoughts?
I've posted this on the group wall as well. Probably better to use that but wanted to remind people of the new group.

Hi all. Thanks to northlondoncookie for the link from the UKGSER site.
I am keen on green laning in either a big adventure bike or something smaller like a DRZ. Will be happy to lead a small group round some of Hertfordshires finest lanes and fords !

Mine's a F650 gs Dakar so would be up for a bit of option 1 and 2.
Like Mark, I haven't got many weekends free between now and October so I'm not sure how many ride outs I can make.
