I'm after a cheap bike lift that can lift my toys off the ground.
I want one that goes under the sump and pumps up to raise the entire bike up.
There are loads on ebay for arounf £60 -£80 but are they any good?
I don't want a paddock stand and it must take 350kg.

Re: Bike lift
I take your point...for now it's only a 130KG bike i want to lift.

I use one of these, it take ~600Kg (mine is 500kg so they must have improved it)Mike101 wrote:it must take 350kg.

The only thing I would say is you need to make some kind of 'interface' between the lift and the bike. I use a piece of 2"x2" for the Tenere, the TTR fit straight on, the Tiger.. well I always worried about putting the bikes weight on the sump!
Mistakes are natures way of showing us we have more to learn
Re: Bike lift
I have one of these..

very good and solid..my ccm644 has been up on it for 6 weeks and its never fallen off...worked on it removed wheels etc..even the front shocks and well you get the idea..the stand didnt go under the bash plate :woohoo: so i pushed the bike wheels on to bits of wood to make it higher then used foot to lift bike while holding the bars, simple with a lite bike..
Its not strapped down and well I`m clumsy and catch things and its not fallen off
the drc ones are just as good but coast more..my bike is around 145kg
fueled up.
comes down nice and slow too..so can be controlled descent

Re: Bike lift
I bought one of these last week. used it on the weekend and works great. I have a tiger 800 xc and works fine under the sump guard. Comes with two tie down straps just to make it more safe and secure when its up in the air. But all seems very sturdy and tough. Nice to finally get the bike in the air to tinker with it.
Re: Bike lift
I use one like those above on my HD evo Ultra with no problem, I only lift it so wheels are clear of ground, a few inches, not to the full height.
