How do I break the news to my wife that I've bought a bike

Post by MojoGuzzi »

Greetings. Ok, I'm in a whole heap of trouble.....I arranged finance and put down a deposit on an adventure bike........without getting permission from the minister of finance. But, I had to. The devil made me..well, no, I actually just about had enough of First Great Westerns crappy service and volatile timetable. In fact, I think the only reason they still have timetables at FGW is to give some indication to the train drivers that there could be the possibility of paying customers in the nearby vicinity and that they need to stop and allow the poor miserable bastards to hop on. If the more imaginative members here could come up with some legit way of breaking the news to the Missus, please, share it. And if it gets me out of sh1t street and onto my V-Twin 999 cm³ ;101 mm Bored, 62.4 mm stroked; 113.3 hp performing; Happy Buttoned; 6-speed Pony :woohoo: Then, frankly, The Round is on me.

You are in BIG trouble! At the very least you are going to have to buy her something sparkly to the same value. Been there done that!

Enjoy the bike,

Tell her you bought it with the money you've saved since you gave up using whores & cocaine so the bike was actually free (thumbs)

After re-starting biking after 28 years, my first bike was an R850R roadster in silver. I traded it three months later for a bright red R1200GS and the wife didn't notice for almost a year.

I once told my wife I had won the bike in an online raffle...don't think she believed me but worth trying....on another I changed from a Red Ducati to a yellow Laverda..just swore blind that it was the same bike and had always been that colour...not so easy to do if you don't already have a bike though.....
