This is my 2005 R1200RT I'll be sad to see go, I am only selling due to a change in circumstances. 2 owners from new, I brought this July 2009 from Jono at Adventure Bike Warehouse and ridden it through wind, rain and snow, 700 mile days and across Europe, it's been faultless, started on the button and went without hassle, 300+ miles to a tank. It's just about run in at 126,439 miles.

For the past 12 months it's been virtually unused and just sat in the garage. It looks to of developed an issue with the ABS, the brake failure light is flashing and has residual breaking only no servo so think it will either need a new ABS modulator or the ABS removing if you prefer.

Due to the age/mileage they are the regular usage marks, a couple of scratches on the panniers from brushing up against metal bike bays parking, small chip on mudguard, wheels etc etc and seat needs recovering with 126,439 miles on it. Nothing which wouldn't clean up with a bit of TLC, the worst look to be the seat + marks on the forks. If you are looking for a pristine bike this isn't for you but if you want a cheap mile muncher that'll clean up with a bit of TLC and take you across Europe without breaking a sweat it's perfect.

All servicing since buying it has been done by Adventure Bike Warehouse and it's last big service was around 12 months ago. MOT until 15th Nov, good condition Pilot Road 3 tyres, rear givi rack and migsel gps mount and brand new battery fitted this weekend. I've just renewed 6 months tax the other week but think with the changes that's now non transferable?

I'm looking for £3000 due to mileage/abs, searching ebay 05's seem to be between £4500-5000 albeit unused.

I'm based in Gtr Manchester

just a heads up

the new tax disc rules only come in to place from next month, so if bought it before the end of this month, the new owner will get to keep the tax (thumbs)
