An unapproved road over the border,

There seem to be good deals with the Wild Atlantic way package in some hotels, around £51 per night dinner bed and breakfast.

That is the second hotel deal I have used, Diamond coast hotel Enniscrone, and Broadhaven Bay hotel Belmullet same cost.

The Wild Atlantic Way is a tourism trail on the west coast of Ireland. The 2,500 km driving route stretches from the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal in Ulster to Kinsale in County Cork.
Been there, seen that, fell off.....

To do all the WAW....

1500 miles at 150 miles a day = 10 days,
dinner B and B £ 550 and £ 200 of fuel.
Coffee and lunch every day say £ 150,
Total for the trip, £ 900.00

If the weather was this good would be a good trip.....

I think this looks an awesome route. I'm thinking I'll plan it for next year.

I'm just back from a 2200 mile trip in 12 days along the north and west coasts of Ireland to Cork and back again.I was only rained on for one morning!:) Some great roads(and a few shit ones,it has to be said).Northern Ireland was a pleasant surprise.I was expecting the run home through Enniskillen,Armagh etc.to be an anti-climax but it was one of the best runs I had.The campsite at Cahershnaveen on the Ring of Kerry has got to get a special mention. The best campsite I've ever stayed on!
