Garmin city nav on dvd
map updater fails constantly.
Have uninstalled .net framework, and Silverlight
re-installed .net 4 from the dvd but the updater still fails.
Can not find the .exe for the maps so can not bypass the updater !!!
going aff ma heed here.
Any ideas chaps / chappetes ??

This is a well known issue at Garmin, but they have no fix for it yet.
The Europe map is usually too big to fit on the Montana, but, if you go into the drive, you can delete all the language options you don`t need and this should leave enough room to fit the whole Europe map onto the unit.
This also means that I can run city nav alongside my OS landranger maps on Micro S/D
SO ! what they will do is issue a map update download onto your Garmin account and you can get the maps that way.
Convoluted, and leaves you with useless DVD`s but hey ho, it works.
You can stick this into the Montana thread if you like.
