Well, what a fantastic weekend. Those that didn't make it, you missed a cracking weekend. Shame the weather put quiet a few off and if that was your reason for not turning up then you missed out as it only rained for 2 or 3 hours, and then glorious sunshine for the rest of the time (and that's from leaving mine at 14:00 Friday to getting back this afternoon).
Anyway, thanks to those that made the effort. I know some of you (well, most really) had long distances to travel, Dublin, Brighton, London, Nottingham, Stoke, Runcorn, Leeds, Scarborough, Sheffield and a load of other places. Great to see some of the regulars and really good to meet some new people.
I really enjoyed it. That's my 4th time riding across to Piel now and Ive loved every time Ive been across.
Ill put up more of a report in the next day or two, but anyone with any photos please feel free to load this thread.
Only 15 bikes this year, 1 Landcruiser, 16 people and 1 "ABR dog".
Trail ride on Saturday was a fantastic ride. A few stories to tell.............

Packed, ready for the off
Decided to go via Hawes, Penny Garth cafe, best veggie breakfast you can imagine
I was a bit early, so I went to have a look at the island from the ferry jetty
Arrived at Snab Point and found these two reprobates sheltering under a makeshift tarp, attached to two vehicles that just happened to be parked there...
Scrap heap challenge, a support was rigged so we could stand up in the shelter without Marts arm being constantly aloft...

Had a wander out onto the beach for a reccy, thinking about not bothering, it's gone two o clock and there's just the three of us, it's looking bleak
At about 2:15 the rest of 'the crew' turned up, just in time for the queen to trundle into sight across the bay

Our Irish contingent was the only casualty, his Rukka clothing became subject to an impromptu consumer test in the showers, it passed.
Pitching tents in the persistent rain
...then it stopped and the bikes became clothes horses.

Blackpool tower is spottable way off in the distance, Sykesy is a bit easier to spot, as is the really annoying child that kept on appearing throughout the weekend.

I scaled the castle wall, just to take this picture, it was harder than I thought, I'm sure I saw Beddows up here earlier with the dog
