just a littel tip
after tims posting about the tenere rear wheel i had a idea
the problem is the stupid spacers falling when trying to ine up the wheel
i had a idea about it ...and changed the rear tyre today
i was going to use a peice of tube but found a peice of standard hosepipe did the job fine
it makes puttin the wheel on much much easier especially on your own
when the wheel is in place the hose just pushes out with the spindle pin
deffo handy to have with you for a puncture

Like that! Bet that little bit of pipe will squash somewhere under the seat were other tools don't fit too.

Genius Steve! (thumbs)
I've got some old hosepipe in the garage exactly like that - I'll give it a whirl and add it to my trail puncture kit (along with 4" c-clamp to take that bloomin rear tyre off).
By the way, is that a new E09? I fitted one the other week and went for the standard and not the dakar E09 'caus I thought the standard "might" be easier to remove on the trail.

whats the wether forcast ..wheres me map
Re: how to hold the spacers on a tenere rear wheel
I think it's a brilliant idea and I'd be cutting off a length of hose pipe if I hadn't removed the problem by fitting a different wheel with captive spacers

Nice one Ste....just cut the middle bit out me hosepipe oops....
Re: how to hold the spacers on a tenere rear wheel
if the outer dust seal is worn, or the spacers are grooved they can fall out easily too
so replace the dust seals so they grip the spacer better
if the spacer is grooved from the lip of the seal wearing it, i fit a dust seal with a 1mm smaller diameter (cheaper than new spacers)
