Sorry we were late...

After weeks of planning (and weeks of waiting for the new exhausts to arrive for XTs), the exhausts & new springs were duly fitted, bikes were serviced and we were ready to set off Friday morning. :cheer:

10 mins down the road we discovered our lovely sounding new exhausts were melting the number plates & the scottoilers so it was back home (through the long queue at the road works. :unsure:

So instead of a leisurely drive in the sunshine the next 2 hours were spent stripping out the melted Scottoilers & replacing the now warped number plates!

But we got there in the end and a good weekend was had by all.

It was good to meet so many riders from the forum and put faces to names (or avatars!) and the extended tour of Penrith & Carlisle A&Es with a suspected broken thumb was an experience! Thankfully its only damaged ligaments and didn't stop me riding too much :huh:

Looking forward to the next gathering and will work on my steep rocky descents in the meantime!

I think you did fantastic on the 'off road' stuff....and now you have a fall under your belt, you can claim to be a proper adventure biker

Never mind, you're not the only one to do that! Fiona's GS has melted two number plates! (Her Scottoiler survived but isn't the healthiest thing!)
